Volunteer SaturdaysCome for a workparty, lunch and a workshop, 10am to 3pm. Here’s what we have scheduled this season:10am-3pm - Feb 16th Propagation Workshop: Participants will be involved in learning on how to do cutting of native and non native plants 10am-3pm - March 15th Tree Pruning: learn how to prune fruit trees for better production of your back yard fruit trees
10am-3pm - April 19th Mushroom Inoculation: learn to use mushroom plugs to inoculate logs for mushroom production put on by Fungi Perfecti 10am-3pm - May 17th Composting: learn effective ways of composting in your own backyard 10am-3pm - June 21st Bug and Pest Management For Your Growing Season: Put on by Dr. Mulhesien a Professor at Evergreen State College 10am-3pm - July 19th Raising your own Chickens: learn what it takes to have chickens in your backyard for egg production on meat uses 10am-3pm - August 16th Pickling and Canning Your Summer Crops: take part in pickling of beans, cucumbers and other goodies that come from your garden in the summer
